Since you asked :-)
This is the same old 169 that I've been flogging on the track (and street) for the past 5 years. The stickers are gone and the paint has changed but the chasis is still pretty much the same. Koni externally adjustable shocks w/ Hypercoils, poly sway bar bushings, gutted to the bare metal, Devek roll bar, Accusump, Ford racing radiator. I've been running the Vortech at about 9 psi for the past several years on the 4.7L.
The new 5.0L is an '85 block with '87 pistons, drilled crank, port matched extrude honed heads, Devek cams (longer duration, higher lift), 34 lb injectors, adjustable FPR, modified S4 fuel rails, GM LT1 58mm throttle body, MSDS headers dumping into 3" merge collectors and a single 3.5" exhaust.
The spark timing and fuel injectors are controled by a GM 1227749 ECU from a Syclone (turbocharged truck). It knows all about boost so I have no rrfpr or spark retard kludge as is typical with aftermarket SC kits. I capture data through the OBD cable and tune the calibration parameters with standard GM software tools.
Pressurized the fuel system for the first time last night and found a pinhole leak in one of the welds on the fuel rail so tonight it comes apart again.

THAT is a total work of art on the intake plenum! Looks like ia freakin' SCORPION. Nice work, seriously. Was the original TB location welded up with a plate? What do you have on there now...electric TB???...and how in the hell did you match that up to weld it like that??? I can see you turned it 180 degree's. Cool! Please explain.

Scorpion - I didn't see that until you mentioned it but it does look like one. The stock entrance was welded shut with a round AL plate, the rear (originally front) inch or so was cut off on a chop saw, then another AL plate that was machined to the TB gasket was welded on.
That's an LT1 throttle body on the back end, BBK 58mm to be exact. It has the idle air controller and throttle position sensor that I needed to work with the GM ECM. I did this some years ago, and since have found some round throttle bodies from GM trucks that I'd use if I was doing it over again. They could slip in in place of the stock TB with much less cutting & welding. Wouldn't look as cool though :-)

Tony, I think in order for folks to really understand how that frame is supposed to come across,, it should read "Jaws was a *****, THIS is a Shark!!!" (emphasis on THIS) JMHO
Of all the crazy pictures I have taken of my 928's, this is still my all time favorite.
