Carl,
Your car is looking great!
That one in the background (w/ BBS wheels) looks familiar. I looked at a black on black 84 5 speed, w BBS wheels, located not too far from Newport. Was FS about 8 yrs ago.
Can't remember the name of the town, but it was in NY state, just past the CT border.
Do you happen to know the owner?

Here are a few more 928 shots from the Newport Concours...
I took second place in my class for full concours. The car that beat me took best in show so I didn't feel bad.

HAPPY SEPTEMBER THE 28TH EVERYONE! THAT'S 9/28.
Here is a shot of my car this evening after the sun finally came out from behind the clouds. Nevermind the pushed in rear cover but please notice the reflective lettering that I made. It is black when not reflecting.
Anyway, I took the day off to go out on a date with my 928. She went along with whatever I wanted to do. We went out for breakfast and let my girlfriend come along, visited a few friends, I had lunch- she drank gasoline... all in all a great day.
All Best,

Here in the Northeast none of the 928 owners compete in the full concours although there certainly are a few which are worthy of it.
Since I wouldn't have any competition I get thrown in with other cars in a similar age bracket. For example, my group consisted of a 88 944, my car, a 91 911 and a 94 911.
The 944 took first in our group and then won best of show. If I was judging I would have placed them the same, he really did a good job getting the car prepped. He's won before and he's been doing this for years from what I've heard. According to the judges my score was very high and the car was very well prepared. I didn't do better mainly due to lack of experience. I lost 1 point in the engine bay and another for dust behind the wheel face. I also lost a point because of the door jambs.
Here is a shot of the 944...sorry for the OT Pic.
