Official random 928 Picture Thread (post a new 928 pic or stay out)

Well, I'll add a pic here I guess. Oh, I have been over on the Ferrari Forum where there is a Porsche Pic thread and we have a LOT of 928 fans over there. I think most if not all of them are here too! I have seen some pics from that thread that I REALLY like. Especially the black 928 race car from South Africa! That body kit TOTALLY ROCKS! If anyone has a line on where that came from I'd love to see it...
I don't think these pics have ever been up here on this list...unless someone from the Ferrari list grabbed them and posted them here.
Best,
James

I guess I'm very lucky. I picked through the pile and didn't see any sign of German nest building material. The tenants were long gone but it seems they were very hygienic as I found quite a lot of green dental floss. I decided to go ahead and pull the valve covers to paint or powdercoat them. The driver side was easy but the pass. side is being a PITA.

Here are a few 928s (Gemballa anyone?). I apologize if all these have been shown before.

H2, thanks! It is my pleasure to share my cars with others. I will post more pics over time. I have tons of course.
Some of those 928's were nice, but more than a few of them were just, ummm, well, they were, not to my taste and lets just leave it at that!

Pierre,
I LOVE your front and rear fender flares and the nice heat ducts on the sides as well as the side valances (or whatever you call them??? Skirts, whatever). You car looks AWESOME DUDE! Are those parts available? If I ever break my front fenders I am going to need something new and WIDE and I like what you have done there!

Sadly the guy who did the bodywork for me is no longer in business. I'm currently trying to get the moulds off him through a mutual friend.
You'll find a Rennlist thread of the build - here.
I'll update it later tonight.
Cheers,
Pierre.

Read all about Bully! Sounds like your adventure was MUCH like mine and I got my car as a rolling chassis w/ all the body work already done (but not NEARLY AS COOL AS YOURS!!!!) and it still TOOK FOREVER to finish the car.
My car (Mark Anderson's old car and all the chassis and body work was done by him and his team) has a much more impressive roll cage and dash, but other than that YOU WIN in the looks dept!
Interestingly I have set my car up to be road legal like yours...not that you would EVER want to do that, but it is nice to be able to put some street tires on it and drive it down the street to fill up w/ gas, or drive it to a shop vs. having to trailer it EVERYWHERE!
I would LOVE to take an S4 and put your entire kit on it...that would be an awesome looking car...
If there is any interest on the forum here I will do a photo documentary on the build up of my car to go along with yours. I started my project in '99 and its first track event was '03 or '04 I guess... Then it set for a couple more years and I raced it in '06 (once), DE'ed it (once) in '07, and have now tracked it already once in '08. I am having a cooling issue too. I think it is my electric fan. The wire has either pulled out (I have had a few off track events) or the fan is broken, or the thermo switch is malfunctioning. I don't think it is a thermostat issue though so it should be easy to fix.
Let me know guys if you want me to put together a build up on the race car.
Best,
James
