My best friend has a 924 turbo and a very rare Pininfarina spider.
Me I have a lowly 928 S auto US. Not an OB 928 with Pasha, not a GTS or even a GT...but it got me to my Momma Mac's funeral when nothing else on this earth would have... More precious to me than any other car on this earth... https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...2688c2fadd.jpg |

Frank,
There is nothing "lowly" about a Guards Red 928 S without rub rails. Beautiful car! Dave Obligatory photo... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...5ab5686f87.png Very much appreciated. Still all these years later grateful for the 928 community. We all know how rare these cars are and how hard it is to get help and advice on cars that went out of production 30 years ago. Hopefully others around this country and around the world have a good group of guys. I feel blessed to know all the other 928 owners here in Dallas and also very grateful that I live in Dallas where I can reach out to Roger or Sean for help and advice when I need it so I can maintain my original 928S. I had to wait over 20 years to find one that ticked all the boxes (Guards Red 928s because I love the look with the subtle spoilers, low miles (59k when I bought in in '15, 77k miles now, good interior, and a "survivor" aka all original parts including Blaupunkt Richmond stereo, wheels etc.). Still a damned good car today and feels modern. Can only imagine what it was like in the early 80s. Took me many years but finally got one that looked like the 928s that used to blast by our tank columns rolling down the Autobahn...always thought it was incredibly cool how they would pop up those headlights and everyone else would pull over to the right lane as these blasted on by... Very rarely in life do we get to experience some our dreams and bucket list items. This was one of mine and I am so very grateful I got to experience it. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...4fbf6c3dc7.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...68f51b672c.jpg and let's not forget where I first saw one...in between patrols on the Grenze from 85-88 (aka FRG Federal Republic of Germany). So many wonderful teammates I played with Post SV Bamberg in the Bundesliga. I would have been happy to have sacrificed my life in defense of my wonderful teammates and friends over there... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...3d0e067c13.jpg |

Here's something you don't see every day.
Here is my Scottish Claymore. "There can be only ONE!" (quote from movie Highlander) Claymore DescriptionA claymore is either the Scottish variant of the late medieval two-handed sword or the Scottish variant of the basket-hilted sword. The former is characterised as having a cross hilt of forward-sloping quillons with quatrefoil terminations and was in use from the 15th to 17th centuries.
