I double checked on the black and the silver logos - none, nada and NLA.

I would suggest that the inner door panels entirely are from an earlier car when the Porsche logo cloth was more common. That might also explain why the upper vinyl covering on the door panels is perforated for speakers, as with the early cars, when the car does not have a radio or stereo.

The old style door panels and Porsche logo cloth inserts, for the doors and seats, were the standard equipment of the 928 CS.
Only 4 cars were produced with them.

The others were produced with leather inserts (13 cars) and multicolor cloth inserts (2 cars).

My former 1989 CS was the last one with the Porsche logo cloth.

For the moment, I have found two cars with the 4 speakers doors inserts, both 1989 MY.

Samuel,

Great find and congratulations on the purchase.

A few years ago I saw a set of CS decals for sale on eBay from an Australian seller. I am not sure if they were factory original, but a search might give you a possibility of finding them.

I knew I should have just bought them and put them into inventory. Could have helped you out... Darn...

Enjoy the build!

My car is officially 30 YO today!
This is the first customer car produced.

I still have a lot to do to use it, but I collect parts to put it back as it originally was.
Well, I will certainly skip the original radio. I dislike radio in such a car

Hi Samuel

Congratulations!! I somehow missed this news that you had acquired a CS! Fantastic!!

I am looking forward to joining up with some friends from the French club in the Summer of 2019. By then, I will have both me semi-permanently and one of my GTs overseas.

Looking forward very much to seeing your car and progress!!!

Hi John,

I have seen the car into an add the Friday before the Euro 928 2017 and a friend has bought it for me the week after the Euro 928 2017.
It was really difficult for me not to talk about it during the presentation

Do you know someone who could investigate for me about an interesting car, near Lausanne?

Samuel

Jochen: Landsharks.de?

If so, I know this car very well and hope to see it running soon

have you had any luck tracking down what happened to the original motor, or been able to find it? Very happy it is in your capable hands!

No. I still don't know what happened to the original engine.
I suspect that the car was stolen at some point. It was once repainted red, then the current awfull Audi blue.

Not so much
But this was a unique opportunity and I wanted to be sure to secure it, if the car was not a total wreck.

Glad you're able to save that special car and again have a CS
