AC Compressors on Ebay CHEAP!!??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Denso...spagenameZWD1V

These compressors were brought to my attention as I was trying to price the extra rebuilt unit I am selling. Obviously, $169 is substantially cheaper than what any of the standard 928 parts houses are asking (averaging about $400 + core)

Is this legitimate? What are the differences between the ebay offering and the others (international, specialist, pelican, etc.) if any??

I search the forum and didn't find any decent conversations about differences in remanufactured AC compressors/suppliers.

Please educate me/the forum.

I thought I read sometime back that the later units were the same as those used in Chrysler minivans(or similar). Maybe this seller has discovered the same thing?

Why will they double in price??

That's because once people on the list find out..they will hound the guy....and he will realize that he can now gouge the 928 owners for more money :D haha..just like the MAF way back...started at 99 or so and quickly ended up over $200 ....

Like Sterling said....get in now..before he realizes how much more he can charge...haha..

Anybody know if it will fit an OB? My compressor is shot

I've got one for my 89 sitting on the garage floor waiting for some time to deal with it. Wondering what to do with the core since there was no core charge!

Brian, you would need the newer bracket, along with the air pump tensioner arm. You would want to verify that the fittings will interconnect as well.
