You beat me to it. i was going to say there are plenty of decaffeinated brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Personally, I thought the louvres mocked up at the bottom of the previous page looked pretty cool.

Sorry! Apologize to this board. Was not in a good place nor now.... Sorry!

I thought we could bounce around some ideas and innovations with this car, but I have nothing more to offer... Thanks to all who offer such great expert advice and info on these cars, truly amazing. Have fun with your 928's as I will with mine...

no one is trying to run you off,

Creative types tend to be a little high strung. I think we (well, you guys, I'm not sure I can say I'm one of the band yet) should cut him some slack. I want the last ones he posted. If you don't live in the deep south you can't appreciate how brutal it can be down here inside a fishbowl.

Well said, Merlin. You just did the job of a mod.

DC - everybody gets upset from time to time. Why you took it out on this thread baffles me. I do not own a 928, but I do know how closely knit this community is. Hopefully that earlier post is isolated and you won't make a habit of this. And you don't have to be a contributor (even though you have been) to be part of this family. You just have to love 928s.

Please don't feel that way, because it is so not true. If somebody grumbles about "another" louver thread, ignore them. It's not like anybody twisted their arm to read through this thread.

Hey Guy, I actually liked your louvers and was serious about the grill sections. They are no longer available and If you could make them I would buy one from you. This place can be as flaming as hell but I have never flamed anyone and never will. Just don't believe in it. You are right we do need new blood, don't let yourself get pushed out. Sorry about your bad day. Some of us are dealing with small things like cancer and crippling arthitis... I have never let it force me to scream at the people here who have saved me a ton of $$$ and allowed me to use a 928 as a daily driver for over 21 years. I am a poor boy and could never have done it without the people here. They are mostly all creative folk and will pick a little bit from time to time.

Don't let them push you away. You have a good idea. I actually don't like my black tint for the same reasons you mentioned, it is a royal bitch at night.

Hope better days are ahead for you

OH, and I forgot to mention that the reason I mentioned the grill is that I don't have one and can't find one. So, if someone could make some, they could probably make some $$$. I am sorry I hijacked your thread to ask about something else. I just figured that as good a job as you did on the louvers, I was betting you could do the same on the grille. (Serious No BS).

I don't mind the rant. Just hang in there, just shows you are passionate about your work. People who care usually are. However I can tell you this, you are in the wrong place if this thread got to you. I have seen much much worse.

When I checked with 928Intl last month, they had the grill pieces..you have to purchase them individually. Total cost quoted was roughly $200.

I was going to order the assemblies, but was diverted to other, more important, matters. Still missing a grill

So, did you take a 12 guage to your train set or not? If so, please post pics of it all blown to hell.
