For what it is worth I had my bone stock (except for GTS mirrors and wheels) 928GT up to 6700 rpms when driving home from work a few times. It would not go any faster than that. I had an indicated speed of 286 km/h on the digital speedo and 295 on the analog speedo.

There are new and used cars for sale all over Germany and Europe which can surely go even faster and they do not have anything either. Not sure which tires it will have then, 17" Cup wheels anyway. We only go anywhere near that fast if traffic is light and weather really good. Besides, need to get the kit and install it first.

Keep in mind that you have to have the required horsepower at the RPM level that you'd be at going that speed. In other words, it's not going to help you much if peak horsepower occurs at an RPM point higher than the gearing would put your speed at to go that fast. That's why some cars have their top speed in a gear lower than top gear. Pick a target speed, see how much power it takes to go that fast, figure out how what the engine RPM would be at that speed, and then see if you have the required power or more at that engine RPM.
