Yeah I noticed that too, but at least there is someone interested in it. Maybe if the price stays low the seller will adjust the BIN.

it seems like it could be a roach and a scam, or a legit ad. A driveby and a talk to the guy would confirm it. Something worth looking at.

If your priority in a car is a decent passenger side inner door panel, this is the car for you.

He says "got a new engine that was just "dropped into" the car. "... is that maybe a literal reference saying it was dropped in from the top?

Any chance this is the NJ 928 scammer guy? Does he ever try to scam with full cars or just parts & 928 stuff?

Who'd take pics of a car that you've been in the process of spending time & $$ of having it restored, & leave used parts on the rear seats? His ad says "interior is good. just "need to clean up the old parts i have in there that were left by mechanic" as he was replacing things.".... Why not take the parts out of the back seat before you take the pic?? Some try tricks to make a car look better than it is with it just washed or in low light etc?(or across the street). Who'd leave parts in the interior & take a pic showing the used parts inside, then attempt to convince a reader that he cares enough about the car that he's restoring it, but he allowed the mechanic to put used parts on his back seats??? Maybe the seller IS the mechanic who's owed $$ on the car, has a mechanics lien & is attempting to sell it??

Perhaps the guy hard the work started, owes the mechanic & doesnt have the $$ to continue on. Thats how my car's PO got my Shark. His friend owed the mechanic lots of $$ after a TB failure rebuild. The car sat outside in the open with the hood off for SIX MONTHS as the guy couldnt come up with the $$ to pay for the repairs. My PO got title to the car from his friend for the cost of the repairs. Then he said he told the mechanic off for not at least covering the engine bay with a tarp or the hood which was leaning up against the body! Too lazy or cared so little to even take the hood & lay it over the engine bay opening. Yeah... and I'd ever take my Shark back to that "Porsche Specialist!"

Yep. Common enough, tow trucks often have that effect on the S front spoiler.

I may have to retract my statements of the engine, it may just be a typical "dirty" install.

I'll be heading down the parkway today after work. I'll stop by and take a look if it is outside.

Till now it looked like a legit story, but something is starting to smell fishy!!!!! So he never drove the car? Does he even own the car and the title?

It's perfectly doable from below as long as cross member is removed. That's the way factory did it when they put engine in in one large lump together with TT and gearbox. In my opinion it's easier to drop engine down than pick it up if one has possibility to lift body high enough.
