Close... "Tank Lever"

How about LuftUnterPanzer -- Air under Tank? Eh... I still like JackWurst -- has a nice ring to it.

Talking

My dear old Mom is visiting and has "heard" this is a good movie. Wants my wife to go and see it with her, as I declined the offer. Should I warn them?

I sold the first pair of the <S3 type to Joe F.

We took his '83 down off of stands, and put it back up with the JackWursts, and everything fit fine!

We also tried one S4> type on his wife's car, and it worked perfectly! Even better than I had hoped, and it works great on both sides.

Nice! Do you still feel that a custom bar would be needed to work with a bent jacking point on the front?

I'll start a new thread when they're ready.
Dear Mr. Porken,

Please add me to your list of lift bar wanna-gets. That thing is a must have.

Being a rennlist newb, I'd be happy to supply tasty brews (or the appropriate beverage of your choice) in addition to the purchase price, if that will help grease the wheels of commerce for me here.

I'll be on the lookout for that new thread about them being ready in the mean time.

Thanks,

Ed

ps: Would it help me get them if I said I have met Heinrich and have seen his fine 928 collection? Or is it better that I pretend that I have never met him?

Ed,

What year is your car?

Heinrich? Doesn't ring a bell.
...

I'm thinking I might limit the distribution of these widgets to the Portland->I-5->Seattle area at first, so I can deliver them in person. Get a group together in the Seattle area, and drop ship them all at once.

1985. I just cast my vote on your poll on your other thread, and also posted a note with my details ('85, Seattle area).

I can't speak for the others, but I don't mind spinning by a central location to pick them up, or to meet you.

I know there was some discussion recently on the PacNW 928 Yahoo group about having a get together, perhaps when your lift bars are ready, that would be a good time to have that get together up here in the SEA area.

In any case, whatever works for you. -Ed

Ken,

I'd be in for a set if you decide to sell. Weren't PanzerFausts German bazookas in WWII? I like the name and they do look like PanzerFausts but probably the wrong image for our cars.

Thanks Wade.

I should have updated this thread with that info, before.

Some info if you are making your own. I had a structural engineer run the numbers on the bar I have for sale, and the minimum pipe size (without additional reinforcement) would be 2" sch. 80, or 2.5" sch. 40. That's going jack point to jack point, at 4000lbs. Otherwise, the pipe will flex too much, and eventually become permanently bent.
