What about a Boss Hoss with an M28?
I ran across a Boss Hoss motorcycle today. For those of you that don't know what this is, this is a motorcycle that is powered by a small-block chevrolet engine. It uses some sort of Boston Industrial 3 speed transmission, and weighs over 800 pounds.
From what I've read about these, it is also possible to buy one with a 502 cubic inch [8.3 liter...] big block engine as well! These huge things have a gigantic automotive tire, I think something like a 285/35-18 on the rear, and they are capable of standing up without the kickstand down.
I stopped at the bank today in my 928 and as I was getting out, a Boss Hoss pulled into the spot next to me. The owner was fascinated with my 928, and we spent 15 minutes chatting and examining vehicles. He started the Hoss and let me rev the throttle- that thing has torque rock that will pull your arm out of the socket! He says that he has to take it easy, since this thing has over 300 hp and even more torque. He told me that he got on it on the highway one day, and the torque was slowly pulling him over to the right and he let off because he thought the bike was going to fall onto its side!
Fascinating. Not for me, but fascinating anyway. But it started me thinking: Since these can take two different chevrolet V8's, then it is likely that an M28 V8 engine from a 928 can be fitted as well. The owner of the Hoss said he'd heard of a Jaguar V12 being installed in one bike, but never a 928's engine.
What would we call that? A 928M? 928BH?
N!

Normy- those bikes are a giant novelty and not much else. The weight can be as high as 1300+ lbs, and handling that is tweaked as soon as you turn the throttle. They attract attention at bike shows, but serious bikers are not really into them.
Tarek: you sit behind the engine and your knees go spread eagle around the headers(!!!). Hot stuff.
The Moto GP bikes in europe are 1000cc, 300 lbs and 240 hp. Those are cool. I want one.

I've seen a show on these bikes a few years ago. They now are available with the 572 CI racing GM crate engine. I think they didn't have a transmission back then cause it didn't really need one.
I saw a couple last summer going the opposite way. The riders had there legs really apart and it looked odd!

The Tomahawk was nothing more than a concept and the vehicle is un-derivable. I beleive it was shown a couple yers ago at the Detroit auto show. It created a huge buzz, but that was about it. According to Chrysler officials, no one ever drove the "bike" past 15 mph.
The Boss Hoss on the other hand is actually drivable and so is the Y2K. The Y2K is a jet engined production bike ($140 000). Teh engine is used to power a Bell helicopter or 5000lbs, and in this case it's in a 450lb bike. It's the fastest production bike to date, something like +400km/h. It also doesn't corner well jsut like the Hoss, but it sure is a novelty with the rich. I saw a show on the "10 greatest bikes in history" and Leno commented on the Y2K cause he ownes one.

Why not?
Why not sell an 8300 cc motorcycle. Its great to see that the imagination exists to produce such vehicles; I was fascinated enough by the thought of what the exhaust system of a motorcycle Jaguar V12 would look like....much less what it would SOUND like...even if it is not in any way, shape, or form a reasonable proposition.

They sold 9 of the Tomahawks and I read somewhere that some guy got his up to 100 and chickened out. I've seen pics of another Viper powered bike that had the older 488ci V-10.
