Yes, you are correct all GT's are 5-speeds. Not sure its a scam. More likely someone who just doesn't know.....

Looks like a PO really wanted a GT? Emblem looks placed correctly though.

Not yet. I am pretty far behind but hope to get caught up in the next week or so.

In one of the pictures you can see the owners manual that says 928S4.

Edit: Oops, I just saw the other picture that shows the owners manual with both S4 and GT on it.

I've received 3 messages from the seller, he/she is curious to know more about how he/she would have known it wasn't a real GT.

I sent them a link to this thread - be nice, they actually sound interested in finding out. Then again, my inital messagage was not the nicest message I've ever sent.

Well, no one wants to admit to being taken. Options won't help but the motor numbers will.

OTOH I suppose the options codes would help if there was a manual delete for the GT's

I responded back letting him know that maybe someone took the GT trannie out and installed an auto. Anything is possible.

Emblem is not Porsche OE, nor is it installed correctly. It is a bit off to the right and the 928 GT had the T sitting lower (Like S4) than the G.. just my 0.2 ... i guess someone really wanted a GT, but had an S4
