shp & insurance precautions -
just to relay a recent experience and stress the importance of insuring the items you ship
we got in an S4 with a PERFECT dash! was sold to a 'lister, packed and shipped
this is how it arrived, it was packed very well and INSURED for FULL COST CUSTOMER PAID
without proper insurance this would be a complete nightmare and loss on our end.. I know many of us here ship items to each other on a regular basis, some times without considering insurance.. so heads up
hopefully this will only take a month to get reimbursed, but meantime the customer no longer has his dash replacement and as you know, these are not easy to find

That sucks! Any particular shipper involved here to keep a heads up of??
Once had some Koi shipped to me & of course they are supposed to arrive next day air since expensive Japanese fish don't care to be in a box of water for multiple days! Well, it was the second day that they finally arrived & they made it ok, but it was tense wondering when I was opening up the box if they'd be swimmin or floatin! The guy I bought em from in Ohio said he lost thousands of dollars of fish in just one shipment cause half arrived dead after 2-3 days instead of overnight. He had them insured of course, but he said it was a pain dealing with the claims process & appeasing customers who lost fish they hoped to have swimmin in their ponds!

UPS is totally useless. Fed ex not much better, but at least it gets there.
Had a cell phone problem this last week. next day air new phone. says "left on porch" -
Well, not my porch. I even checked the "porsh" just incase they meant on the 928 sitting in the driveway.
So now a second phone, at no charge to me, must be sent.
UPS once lost a box of cams for me. Lied about it, found it destroyed, reboxed it, and I got it then. Destoyed cams put back in a new UPS box.
I only ship Fed ex, but I now have a current problem with them.
