Sorry, the first mass-produced V8 engine has to be credited to the French in 1910 by de Dion-Bouton (at that time, the largest automobile manufacturer in the world). And they were already running in cars that year. Until Henry came around, the US was pretty backwards when it came to automotive technology.

I stand corrected. See I have learned something today. As somebody else said one cannot believe all they read. I have always believed Cadillac invented the V8, but it was really the French. Funny when you think about because parts of the Cayenne V8 are manufactured in France.

I agree. I very much enjoyed reading this. Not many places can you read about a 928 and a Vega in the same place without bananas being thrown about.
