They are just insanely tight going in past the O-ring. I can't press it enough by hand, using my thumbs. I got 2 installed, but just barely. Once seated they're fine. I'm actually in the process of making a fixture/adaptor to press them in (gently) with a hydraulic press. Just wondering if anyone else ever had that issue? If so, what did you do to make it easier to install?
I had similar issues with that solution using the o-rings specified. I ended up using the next size thickness down and some vacuum grease and they slid in like butta! No leaks or issues after 5 + years.

I have this on mine and am very happy with it. Fits well and was fairly simple to adapt to my 85 track car. I am also using it on my DD as well with the new
TS system.
That's an interesting piece. I just measured my 87 and that would be a very tight fit with the A/C condenser but just might snug in there. For $150 is worth a try.

Do you have a photo of yours in place?

This is all I have left after the server crash. This is during mock up and assembly on the track car. There is room on my DD for it with the condenser
tight but doable

Very nice. Looks like the only thing that would be in the way is the motor for the nose flaps. Which reminds me, I need to remove those.

Thanks Obehave. Good info. I've looked at Frozen Boost's site and wondered about using their products. As far as the thickness of the o[rings I was thinking a bout that but hadn't researched the thickness yet. Thanks.

Looks great! I use a pusher fan so had to mount under.

How did you run your throttle cable?

Anybody have an S3 (or S4) lower manifold not currently installed?
Long shot, but I would love to get my hands on one for a few days to look it over and measure and stuff for my 944 project.

Yes, I polished the upper intake. It had originally been "somewhat" polished, but I did the full monty with both rouge and white compound on a 1/2" cordless drill. I couldn't get the counter space to use the regular bench grinder/buffer. It still came out pretty good.
Just a 9v battery will work or use a 12v source, fused jump box via cig lighter port or an RV battery (one day I'll get a quick release connector and a Mity-Vac set to pressure.
I pump it up to 35 psi and watch it for leak down, may need to hold the tubing on the top, works better w/o the top seal.
Future would be an old fuel rail and 4 connectors and make a proper test jig.

You can also load the tubing with a bit of injection cleaner and watch the spray pattern as you click the injector on and off, do not keep the voltage on steady just pulse it

Second pic is a leaking seal, no way to fix these as far as I know.

Thanks Dave1 Great info!

V2, I have almost an entire extra Keel setup in the garage. Lower and upper plenum, I/C, Jag/Eaton M112, original snout and pulley bracket, etc...

If you want I can send you all kinds of pics, dimensions, etc.... I'm not sure how well any of it would translate over to a 944 though. Personally I would run the s/c on a separate bracket beside the engine, and run intake and outlet tubing as required. Somewhat more like the way a centrifugal s/c is setup. Lots of DIY setups like that all over the internet. Several new s/c kits for vehicles like chevy trucks have the twin screw setup that way.

you mean like this
(the reason i am interested in the Keel etc setups is that i want to switch to a DOHC head, so i need a new manifold. DOHC head gives me less space to work with and i think a simple "small pizza box" will work for me too)

Ahh I got you. Well I can basically do whatever you want V2. Like I said I can get detailed pics and dimensions. Or if you want, I can ship it.

BTW, I went and checked my O-rings and they are already the thinnest you can get in that diameter. I'm running the 021 size, which is .070" cross section. Oh well. Would've been nice if that was all I needed to do.

I found a new machine shop that has good pricing on lathe work. After sending a couple of the old pulley files over, we decided it would be more cost effective to just machine the entire pulley as one piece. This required some modifications to remove extra rotating mass, the result is this windowed single-piece pulley.

PO is going in on Monday for the first batch.

The new pulley will weigh 1712g which is approximately 215g lighter than the original steel pulley stack, I call that a win.
