They do this in Deutschland, and we worry about desecrating the marque...

For 6500 Euro! Wow!
What is up with the perforated metal on the rear glass? My german is a little weak, but it is created by Mad Max Gumbau. Mad Max must not have anything better to do than screw up a 1980 928. I wish they had interior photos.

The perforated metal is protection from the rocks which people are inclined to throw at that car after they see it drive by...

I kind of like it for what it is... Hot-wheels-esque. Now if only it were a track car.

I am just trying to deal with the "reverse'" Phone Dials! Where in the hell do ya get THOSE things!?!?

Out here in "La La land" (and other parts of the country I am sure) there is a huge following for what are called "Rat Rods" (though the Rat Rod owners/followers hate that term) Flat black painted, original wheeled, keeping in worship of the TRUE hot rods, dating back to the early days of so Cal. Though this car is certainly leaning towrds the MAD MAX vein, but I can see a bit of Rat Rod in her!

Yea...LOL....I like it! But then again , there are a lot of 928's out there that I like and most folks don't!

The flat black is cool, the wheels are cool and if it had blacked out windows and lost the mesh and flames it would be really interesting.

It's styled like it should be in one of the Mel Gibson Mad Max movies.

It's a deja vu from the German gangster rap video "cruisen" by Massive Töne (the band is from Stuttgart). Still Hillareous!

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...massive+t%F6ne

Unortunately, the video is no longer on their site.

The early 944 and 80s 911 used "reverse" phone dials The classic 911 Fuchs wheel was for many years an OPTION in Europe.

I would expect to see a paint job like that here in the south. But, in Germany? What's the world coming to?
