I'm currently bidding on an 87 intake on ebay to repowder coat and eventually replace my flaking intake. What is its value based on the knowledge base of this group?
I'd powder coat mine before I sold it, but I'm just wondering what kind of investment I should be looking at. Anyone bought one before? Everything that ties up cash means I need to wait longer to get some other toy.
Gee, I hope you wouldn't do something like that. That would mean I would need to hunt you down no matter where you were on the planet, no matter how long it took, no matter how much it costs and ... Did I use the term "like a dog"? I like dogs too much to say that.
On the other hand, if you want it badly, then you should have it.
I guess I'll check back tomorrow night when the item ends and see where I stand.
I'm sure at some point that I'll put it up for the winter. I've owned it about two months and the honeymoon isn't over yet, so I try to drive it anytime it's dry and sunny.
I'd prefer to have the replacement part in hand before I start tearing into it. I'm the antsy type who will go nuts with something half finished. If I could pick up an intake and then just sell mine after I'm done, I'd prefer that, but...
Just imagine how I'm handling the 928 Specialist crossover I ordered a couple of months ago and it still isn't shipping. That will certainly be a winter job, along with the new belly pan sitting in my garage, O2 sensor, air pump removal, and an oil change. I can hardly wait.
Interestingly enough, I had a ABS light that didn't respond to a new relay and low and behold it just went off by itself. I'm a few days into that self healing job. I hope it just got some Texas dust off the wheel sensor and I'm done with that one. Hope springs eternal.
