Default Good vendors who make mistakes....

...fix them.

I ordered a dash cover from 928 International.

It came in the wrong color.

I called them up.

They shipped the new one that day.

They issued a pickup ticket to UPS.

UPS picked up the old one.

The new one came in the correct color.

Done.

Isn't that how it's supposed to work when there's a problem? Isn't it nice to do business with somebody who just makes it right without a hassle?

to Jim, Tom, & co.

Now, if I could just persuade them to fly on out here and install the bugger....

They saved me a bundle of $$$ when they had their shipper pick up my old transmission for return to them. If I recall correctly, it was 50% of the best price I could find, and they picked it up from my house.

No, I checked. As did they.

Are you saying I suck at the ordering?

Nope, just saying they don't make mistakes. Maybe the phone connection was bad, a plane flew over, train went by, maybe an electrical storm?
Just trying to get to the bottom of this.

Thank you everybody. Yes we do make mistakes. I just hope we continue to make less as we get better at this. You'd think 15 years selling parts for just one make and model we would know everything but everyday we learn something new.

I'm thinking the dash was correct when it left 928 International, but may have changed colour passing through X-rays at the airport. I've heard that the Pope, when explaining the concept of infallibility, generally refers to Jim Bailey and Co, to illustrate his point.
