Default Is there a trick to removing the clutch flex hose (fat, black hose)?

I'm trying to get the clutch flex hose that goes between the master and slave cylinders off. It's so tight it won't budge. I'm afraid to put too much pressure on the hose end and metal pipe end for fear of bending the pipe. I put some PB blaster on it to see if it would come loose, but no such luck.

Is there a trick to removing the hose?

TIA!

I take it the fittings are frozen. Nothing secretive about them. Standard compression fittings.

The trick I use is to put a wrench on each fitting (15mm and 19mm?) so that the wrenches are overlapping. Like clock hands showing 12:05. Then use a long wrench, breaker bar or whatever to lever between the wrenches. This puts a lot of torque on the fitting without putting a lot on the hanger or tube.

Good to start with penetrating oil. Make sure the torque is going lefty-loosey. Easy to make those mistakes under the car. There's a flat clip that holds the black hose to the hanger.

Get some Kroil from an industrial or machinists supply shop. I've found PBB to be useless on frozen threads on my 928. I found it was easier to leave the clip attached while getting the fittings loose. I used the 12:05 technique like Glen only I just wrapped both hands around both wrenches and squeezed them together.
