Need a little tap of the accelerator to start the car
My 1988 SE will not start without a little tap of the accelerator pedal. A 944 owner suggested it is the DME relay. Having previously owned a 924S I remember this troublesome relay, but I wasn't aware this was a problem on the 928.
It's not a huge problem but if there is something wrong, no matter how small I would prefer to fix it.

My 88 S4 US also does this...if the car is cold it will start then fall to a super low idle..stumble for a sec and then die....if you give it a little gas it will start and idle just fine...as long as you slowly back off the gas as it slowly drops to idle, back off too fast and it stumbles and dies....whenever the car is warm it starts no problem at all. It could be several things....but I haven't tracked it down yet? Still waiting for a JDS spanner adaptor!
