I don't think it would be that tough to do Brian. It looks like there is enough room behind the cover to bend some pipe and have it exit the area. You would just have to swing both of them in from where the rear muffler/RMB area is. The square tube bumper behind the cover is high enough to slip some pipes in. As I said earlier, the holes would have to be bigger as in the complete flat areas bordering the licence plate.

Borland- no is the answer. I just wanted to get rid of the stuff that Porsche never inteneded to be on the car.

Randy- get past the bowed strip! The car has a slight curve to the back of it. Completely flat would make it look ridiculous. Mine looks just fine!

What about deleting the marker lights as well and adding (or not) the euro side marker lights?? I have thought about doing a full euro S4 look; they look much better to me and are just as Porsche made them.

I don't care for the DOT messing with the 928's perfection with all those ugly U.S. do- dads.

I like the look of the inserts you put in there... very nice for a quick stab at it! One thought though... you might consider sticking some black contact paper to the bumper beam so it's not visible through the grate. Might clean up the look just enough that you can live with it...

I took my 78 bumper and filled in the smaller holes the early cars have for the bumperets. The 89 will be more difficult.

Its the stuff Jeff McVair suggested - rubber bumper filler. Very flexible and sandable.

It may come in handy in the future when I mod the bumpers covers of the cabriolet. What is the name and manufacturer of the product?

Either 3m or Dupont. I have all the reciepts. If I can, I will look at them and tell you when I find them.

Reviving this thread.... because I need to remove the metal brackets on the front bumperettes to install the Euro covers.

Any idea how to remove that metal piece behind the front bumperettes without damaging it or anything else so I can install Euro lens side covers?
