Default Ebay 1991 GT 67K Mi will BIN for 18K

No affiliation, but I emailed him out of curiosity and asked him what he'll take for the car to end the auction and he answered $18K.

no feedback, just registered with ebay 2 days ago, i understand everyone has to start somewhere, but it is a little fishy, only 1 pic? i emailed and he stated that the other pics wouldn't fit ebay's format? i've never had a problem uploading pics. just a word of caution.

Agreed. Huge leap of faith at this point.

Somebody who keeps a car for 15 years might not be on the leading edge of computer technology and not necessarily have any bad intentios by not uploading gazillions of pictures. As you say, everybody has to start at some point...

Thsi might be a steal for $18k - a one owner GT with only 67k miles! How many of those can you find? Do you know what an advantage it could be when dealing with the first owner? No lost keys, manuals, records, etc while the car is passeed through dealers etc.

I think that someone will get a heck of a deal here!

PS: DEVEK currently has a 1991 S4 triple black that is also a one-owner car. Less miles than that one, lot so f services performed recently, and about $20k. Another rare opportunity!

You got the money, bid, win the item, go in person to finish the transaction with cash in hand. I do not a problem.

But stating "pics wouldn't fit ebay's format" and NOT emailing you additional pics, that is fishy.

Probably an old dude who tried to upload his 3MB images. I think ebay will either balk or will hang. Probably okay, but a PPI is a must.

Don't we have like 10 million texans on this board.
Ask him if you can have a friend, wether you can get one or not, come inspect the car, and when.
Thats always a good one.

For a new user of ebay, uploading pics can be a daunting task. He probably needs to reduce the number of pixels to upload them. I can remember writing down the steps once I had figured out how to do it. I agree with Nicole on this one.

My 89 was bought off eBay from a similar ad. One fuzzy picture and a short description that said, "Nice car." I emailed the seller and learned he was the original owner and had every piece of paper since new, had all the maintenance done correctly and claimed the car was showroom new. The more I questioned him the more it became clear the car really was nice. I began to feel sorry for the guy with his totally unimpressive eBay ad and offered to help him put up one that would do the car justice. He appreciated that and just said the he hoped I won. I did. I didn't send him a dime until I saw the car in person. That was 80K miles ago.

I hope this one goes to a good home and don't end up in the junk yard. I might have to move up to a GT someday if there are any low mile ones left.

Yup. Sure do pardner. But, some of us ain't livin' in Texas no more.

And, that saying? Everything's Bigger in Texas? Well, it also means everything's further apart too. Laredo isn't too close to anywhere else in Texas. About 200 miles from Austin. About 350 miles from Houston. 400 miles from Dallas. And about 800 miles from my old stomping grounds. Best bet would be someone from San Antonio or Corpus Christi - each roughly a mere 150 miles away - to saddle up and canter over. Maybe Brownsville. There's nothing closer 'ceptin' some cows and fields.

SOmebody run a CARFAX on this - see if it even shows up as a TX car...that would be a simple step towards seeing if this MIGHT be real!
