Is it some bizarre '85 Euro computer or what? It's a fairly early S2 (like 0511) maybe it's an '84 computer?

slightly off topic, but does anyone know the flow rate for the euro LH injectors? i can't seem to find this info anywhere. part number is different than the us, and i don't see the part available on any vendor's website.

Hi John...thanks. I felt silly after I sent that first message realizing I had looked at the EZK, not the LH brain. According to what I could find the PN I have on mine is an acceptable replacement for the normal 928 618 123 02 computer. Was there a variance at all in the production from one PN to the next? Wouldn't 00 indicate an earlier iteration?

Jyoon...I have no idea, but I suspect that they are in the 24lb/h vicinity. If you remind me in a couple of weeks I'll let you know what I find out after I get mine flow tested and cleaned. Hopefully they will be well balanced too.

EZK spark control modules support knock detection for spark timing retardation. The Euro 1984 - 1986 and US 1985 - 1986 used the EZF (F = ??) spark modules. They have no spark detect, they use engine vacuum as an input to determine engine load. So all EZFs should have a rubber hose from the engine compartment that connects to them. If the hose is not connected or will not hold vacuum, your performance will suffer.

FYI, the 944s and 911s (and most other cars) have an integrated spark + fuel injection controller. Bosch calls their systems Motronic.

Tim- you are indeed right: my research told me that there are actually two LH boxes for the '85 S2: one has a part number that ends in .00 and the other ends in .02. I have no idea what the difference is, but both work fine apparently.

I can't, other than the fact that your picture shows a box that looks somehow newer. Where's the section on mine where the extra circuits are mounted for the O2 and lambda?

i'd love to see the flow numbers you get. i wanted to buy the FoMoco injectors, but don't know the flow, so i was considering sending mine out to get professionaly cleaned and then finding the flow rate for next time.

I can spot a few differences... look for the colorful parts.

It may be more photogenic, but it's out of season. Christmas isn't for another 4.5 months.

I mispoke about EZK, I know it's a later model thing, I meant EZF. Incidentally, I think it's fleissen (sorry no ess set) meaning "flowing" referring to the vacuum adjustment. Or it could be fluchen, which is what you'll be doing when it goes bad.

That kinda bums me out, I was hoping I had the prototype LH brain that had the built in flux-capacitor.

You guys make me want to hold onto my Euro just because it's so voodoo rare.
