John: I'm convinced the early 16v 5spd is quicker off the line, though the later 32v has more top end performance... the suspension in the S4 is miles ahead of that in the 77
Adam: somehow I keep finding these odd cars, they fit me perfect
Nutz: I have another dash and pod only need to dye and install, once the 2 custom colors I have on order finish I will order to match this one

I want those seats! I want those seats!! I want those seats !!!! Grey green SPORT seats WITH HEAT. FAR OUT !! I suspected some existed but yours are the first. All that makes this fairy tale complete is lumbar. Hey you could find some in some other seats and you have the switch location already.
I have grey-green interior and lust for sport seats. I have two sets of regular grey-green seats; one with heat and one without. But I want at least one sport seat for the driver and thought I would look for another color now that I have experience with SEM dyes and could dye another color grey-green.
Don't park that car around my neighborhood over night unless there's a pit bull inside it.

Rixter:
Congratulations - this looks like a nice and rare find. Hope you can get the dash and pod replaced and color matched. I suspect you'll have to do the console and the door arm rests at the same time, in order to make the color match correctly.
Keep us updated!

Nicole, I'm out on bail for awhile. The food wasn't so good; I needed some veggies badly.
Rixter:
I just finished re-dyeing my grey green pod, console, glove box and NOS dash. I used SEM products. The one thing I would do differently is mix less sheen into the dye because I get too much reflection from the dash. I would tell SEM to make certain the formula is matte, not satin. The steering wheels turned out much less shiny. If you ask Susan at Devek, she can probably get you a NOS dash from Porsche.

Ron.. so you had SEM match this already?????
please say yes so I can just call Chuck and have him send it to me
Nicole... amazingly enough, the door panels and console aren't really faded... I think I may be able to get by with just the dash and pod
I want to be really picky with the color match on this one, the 84 Euro with Hunter Green interior I'm now on the 3rd attempt to match (non Porsche colors)

Yes, I sent him the panel under the rear sun visors which gets almost zero sun. He sent back the formula for both vinyl/plastic parts (Colorcoat) and leather (Surecoat). I used Surecoat on vinyl and it worked beautifully. The match was almost perfect when I installed a NOS dash. The only problem was that the dash was matte and the other items which I dyed including the pod now had a sheen, as if you had applied Armorall and then wiped it off. So I sprayed the dash with Color coat and now everything matches. I will ask SEM if they have a product that will reduce the sheen if I wipe it on.
I have not done the doors yet, because the match is so close and I am lazy and late in preparing for the Parade. After the Parade, I will tear apart the doors and do them. I also did two steering wheels, one of which was badly worn. The finish is holding up nicely and only upon close inspection could you tell it was not original.
So far, I'm a happy camper.
