What gives AC evap drainage a green tint?
It looked like coolant but it's thinner and no sign of a coolant leak yet it looks green. Any idea what this could mean? No coolant leak found.

I've seen that a few times. It's the dirt and dust build up turning into mold. I started a post a month back about using a cleaning spray that uses a fitting for the evaporator box to rid it of most of that crud. If you have allergies it will be especially helpful
Of course, it might be something else but that is my hunch.

I've seen green in a leak from my Mercede's evaporator core. It was freon. If that's what you have there may be a leak.

Still plays with cars.

I vote for mould - very common on older cars. Also produces a funky smell when you start up the AC in a parked car. Evap tray needs to be cleaned.

I haven't modified my evaporator box yet with the cleaner fitting, but maybe soon and when I do I will post something unless someone beats me to it. I think the location of the fitting(s) is the biggest decision to make in cleaning the evaporator.
I would also check to make sure your drain hose is still flowing the crud out during the cleaning process, it could become clogged while a major cleaning is in progress. Use 20 -30 psi of compressed air, not too much or you could pop the line off or damage something.

I may be mistaken but isn't there a lubricant included with the gas? I don't know what colour it is but its messy and smells when it gets out.
I also seem to recall my A/C repairer using a greenish fluid to locate leaks in the system so maybe your unit has been leak tested at some time in the past.

Sounds like a coolant leak - a small leak doesn't drop the level noticeably. Odor is one clue - you can usually smell coolant in the car.
Most refrigerant oil is colorless, but there could have been a dye added to check for leaks. A leak that big in the A/C would drain the system in a short time.
A fungus or similar growth in the evaporator is possible, but there would also usually be a noticeable odor.
If you have small hands, you can move the rubber sleeve between the blower and the plenum and remove the resistor pack to have a small window on top of the evaporator.
