*HELP* TPS Question
I am in the prosess of switching over to a Autronic fuel injection system and my current idle/WOT switch is not going to cut it. I have been told that the 951's use either a linear or rotary type potentiometer sensor for the TPS (throttle position sensor) is this true? If so which one is it?
Is the electrical resistance in the range of 2000 to 20,000 OHMS?
What is the part #?
Does it have a idle/WOT switch intergraded into it?
Sorry for all the questions but I am at a loss for this one.
Thanks for all the help.....Rob

Hey Rob.
I searched and search for a fun sweep TPS for my megasquirt on the 78 and then the AEM on the 89. Turns out that there are some great options from your local Kragen, and for not too much money. The D-drive on the side of the TB is somehwhat normal for some TPSs, you just have to find the proper ones with the CW or CCW rotation, diameter, etc. Let me go look.

Okay, The one I put on the 78 is a three wire - kind of bulky, but its TPS228 from "wells" brand in Kragen.

I think the 951 guys also have to change thier TPS as well.
have you looked at the ones available through clewett?

I had to make a plate to make the TPS I got from Kragen work with the 86 LH early 2V throttle body. I would only except the same with whatever you will get.
My advice is to get one that is easy to source. When I have the option between some difficult to get porsche part and a part i can get on any corner, I pick the later.

Brendan,
Thanks for all the info I will check it out.
I would like to get one that is still compatible with the stock EZK/LH because I am going to leave both in the car.
Thanks Rob
