Well I see 215, 219 and 229 .... haha that is true Glenn .... Personally I think I'd have just gone with a single price by all of them, but hey, we love free enterprise!

Lets see. We only have a few left, so lets raise the price to $1,200 so we don't have to make any more.
Few months later:
They just sold out, now we have to order more and the min. qty is X, so we better drop the price to move them off the shelf space.

hmm...may be because the pricing was originally established based on forecast for production of complete cars and parts, and they have depleted inventory, and now is the time to re-print, and since no manufacturing cost and overhead went into new production of cars/parts, this price is actually very VERY HIGH, considering Porsche already made its money on them and the only current cost is in printing them, as opposed to developping them as was the case of the first batch.....but if Porsche is not using the opportunity to make a few extra $, then one must conclude that they are now actually pretty much giving them away, and the $225 is nothing but printing cost + mark-up by dealers/distributors/retailers + overhead...just a speculation, but very likely IMHO

agreed. 229 is truly less than production/delivery cost. CRAP .. that means, this is the "throw it all overboard" run. Seen it with parts too. No more.

The first shipments went out yesterday we got a pallet load ,needed our forklift to get them off the dealer truck. I expect more to be arriving. We are considering doing a mailing to some of the 40,000 plus contacts in our data base.

Amazing.
At the current supply/shipment ratio Jim, what the event horizon on the end?

Hmmm. Buy paint for 240.00 to get car back together in good shape or buy books for 229 so I can continue to figure out how to disassemble them....

Brendan if you have the books you do not NEED to take it apart to KNOW what is inside ! It is kind of like knowning the answers to the crosword puzzle before you try to do it Besides the manuals do help when ASSEMBLING . You going to be driving to the next Sharktoberfest ?

The 78 needs paint and then its assembly time. By october I may even have an 89 to drive. Well See.
