This is directed to anyone who has taken their car to the track whether to DE or race. I'm interested in running a 4 or 5 point harness, but would like to use my stock seat (non-sport), and I don't want to install a crossbar. Any suggestions or products I can look at? Also I'm intersted in running Pagid Blues (that I run on my X5) just to see the difference. I know many run Hawks or Hawk Plus, so if any have run both...let me know.

DEVEK sells a 5 point harness kit for your shark. The shoulder belts connect to the rear shock tower and have a web piece that keep the belts from spreading, and the crotch belt & lapbelt need to have eye bolts fastened to the floorboards. The good part is that you can keep your regular seat belts for everyday driving.

How about getting a dedicated track car?

As quick as you are out there, you DO need either a harness or a velcro seatcover to stay in place.

I am already scheming to figure out how to do a DE event and family vacation at the same time. "Honey, I was just thinking, we've never been to Savannah before...."

Thanks for the advice...I'll search Devek. James...if you pull this one off...you ARE the MAN. I'm bummed that I've got so much stuff planned for the summer, so it'll be until October that I get back on the track...lots to do.
