How do you change the Starter Ring 1980 Porsche 928..&.. still will not stay running
I have to change the Starter Ring in my Porsche as it is shot.. I already have the New one and I have the new Starter on the way.. The car is on a lift. I removed the front portion of the Exhaust already.... I removed the bell housing inspection cover... the heat schield around below the Torque tube.. I have unbolted the Starter ring and the shaft coupler... engine side Not sure what part I should precede to next....
Any help would be great...
This car still will not Run is there any one from the Atlanta area that might be able to assist in getting this little Jewl running....
Changed is the Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Replace all vaccum lines
made sure the Warm up regulator had no Blockage ( located above thermostat)
Loosened all 8 Banjo fittings on the fuel distributor jumped the safety circuit depressed the Air Diaphram and fuel rushed from all of them
It did have spark also when I checked when i removed a plug boot
but the operation is the car would start and then die...
Any help would be great......
