Yellow on GT looks too dark in my pictures. I think it's in reality lighter than speed yellow.

Tuning versions. There where couple different Gemballa's, one Strosek (I think) and several owner modified cars:

Porsche F2 car in museum lobby:

Final pic Seems camels and 928 go together. These were 'parked' next to museum parking lot.

Unfortunately no, taking pics through car windows with my skills and camera do not give good results.

Thanks. I do not have more of those. Should have taken many more pics but didn't have enough time.

I can relate.... my wife & son pretty much hate going with me to ANY car function cause "I take too many pictures!" Best way to remember em by & to share with others!! Especially with digital cameras. Last year at the Rennsport 2 Reunion at Daytona Beach, over three days I took over 700 digital pics... but wow.. I even told some of the drivers while getting their autographs... I kept thinkin I had died and gone to Porsche Heaven!!! SITM... get ready... I'm makin sure I bring my laptop to be able to download my pics each day!!

BODACIOUS!
We talk about it often enough ... how about a Regional or National.
I'll bring two, possibly 3.
Tie it in with a Barett-Jackson or something and we should get Monster coverage.
This isn't so much a matter of outdoing the Europeans who consistently put together
Great Frenzy's, rather a commitment to the 928 series, it's healthy survival, and nuturing the next batch of sHARk nuts'- errr, afficiando's.
Right now the Renn is the best thing going for info, correspondence and frenzy's, part's/sponsers yet,
there are probably hundreds if not thousands of sHARk singularities across the country.
Make an effort to talk to the Porsche shops, Clubs, Foreign Car repair, specialty shops, even sponsers about contacting -non-invasively- 928 owners and pointing them to the Rennlist if for no other reason than to get an accounting of OUR numbers and put them on the Registry with VIN's.
A friend of mine owns a couple Quick-lube's and one day while getting an inspection the counter guy asked for my name and cartype and model. When he punched in Porsche 928 I looked at the screen and saw at least 12 -14 entries for other owners. While I'm not sure they were all 928's I know for a fact there are 7 928's including mine and Zack's in this little podunk town.
With a year or two lead time I'm sure there is a good chance of organizing a monumental frenzy.
What a hoot it would be to see 200-500 sHARKs converging on a single site.
The group discounts for something that size should be positively delightful with various sites competing for our collective business. But first we need to turn some stones and find the wayward 928's.
This latest gatheing in Holland was a mirror of the BIG ONE in Stuttgart a few years ago,
both were impressive, demonstrating the unflagging international interest in a magnificent automobile. Wish I could have been there.
Great looking event.
BTW
Other than the one 'body kit' with dual spoilers, what's the scoop on those two with S type rear spoilers topped off with the adjustable 87' spoiler?

Why not?

It is VERY hard for anything to get notice during Barrett-Jackson, they are the black hole of auto events, no light gets past. The city is also very booked out so finding a venue with rooms would be difficult, unless the event was held on the opposite side of the city.

Well, we have SITM, Sharktoberfest, Devek Days, Sharks in the Park, Sharks at the Lake, 928 OCIC, and Frenzies. At one time or another I think most 928 owners have the chance to participation in a large 928-related gathering within a 2 or three state range.

It depends upon your yardstick as to which event was the BIG ONE. Euro 2002 in Ludwigsburg had only 96 928s show up. Holland was up to 187 928s. The whole Euro 2002 package made it a super event for me and my wife.

If anyone is interested in Euro 2002, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Porsche 928, and would like read a rather lengthy summary of the event (includes more than 50 photos), drop me a note at info@electronikrepair.com and let me know if you'd like the 500kb or 2.3 MByte PDF version of that document.

I also have a 1.1 MByte PDF write up of the Euro 2003 event that was held near and at the Nürburgring. Not such a large event, but the venue was excellent!! I drove over 18 laps of the ring that year! Let me know if you'd like to be sent this document too.

See you all at Sharks at the Lake.

Some more pics. These are from a friend. I didn't get a chance to get my pics and video ready yet.
Funny thing is that for this event I looked and called every dealer of Magiars in the country for the detailing clay and wax, to make the car shining like a mirror. To no avail. But to my surprise the Magiar guys were als at the event. My girlfriend insisted on paying the $$ for the clay and wax. Isn't she something?
