Did anyone ever make one? It would be much easier to make a bracket that holds the release arm out of the way so you don't have to keep putting sockets and shims in to test the distance between disc and intermediate plate.

I heard someone had done it, but I can't confirm it.

Some people use a big carpentry clamp to hold the lever open.

I adjust mine by leaving it closed and cranking the adjusters all the way towards the rear. No measuring or anything. Works fine.

I used one of those ratchet straps (the ones used to secure a load in a pick-up bed) to hold the release lever back. Just secure one end to the rear cross member and the other to the release arm and ratchet back. The first time I adjusted my clutch I used the
'pry the tabs all the way back" method, but it continued to drag a bit. What worked well as this:

- Pulled back release lever with ratchat strap to spec travel. (you can measure this against the starter ring gear.
- Adjusted tabs until the intermediate ring was equidistant from flywheel and PP.
- Double checked by ensuring gaps between disc I and II

I understand how to make the intermediate plate equidistant from the clutch discs. What I wanted to know is does anyone actually have a bracket that bolts on and allows you to apply pressure to the release arm and thus not using any shiming tool so the engine can be rotated rapidly and adjusted close to the clamping stage?
