Auto gearbox identification
Can anyone either help identify gearbox history or point me in the right direction? 
I bought a second hand auto gearbox on ebay going quite cheap, seller claims it came off a 1990 S4, no real reason to question this however with the difference in speedo pick up around 1990/91, I would like to know for future reference.
The gearbox in my 89 S4 is fine at present, it was bought for a rainy day that I hope never comes!
I took two sets off numbers off the side of the box:-
1282713901 & W8440/2 or W844012
