Default Okay, what's this part called, and where can I get one?

Okay, I need to know what this part is called, and where I can get one

I've got an '85 5-speed, and the part I'm talking about is the plastic snap-on elbow"top" to the airbox. My air box is part # 928 110 016 36. The bottom of the "elbows" are part of the molded plastic, but the top of the elbows are a plastic snap-on deal. I need the snap-on plastic top to the passenger side elbow.

Thank you for your help!

the airbox top is sold as one piece.. the part # doesn't really do you much good, you need the casting #'s... however, your's being an 85, only an 85-86 airbox will fit (unfortunately for you)
this is a hard to find item, big3 don't always have them as they are NLA IIRC
if you have no luck send me a pm I may know someone with an extra

The 85-86 upper appears to now be available new for about $185 we got one from Porsche the other day. Previously it had been listed as no longer available, I wonder if they found some old stock in the corner of a warehouse ?? The special smaller diameter air intake tubes still are NLA .....

IF you can't find any, let me know I have a few sets lying around (both tubes and box tops)

I don't know about the part number being wrong ... that's the number I read directly off the plastic.

I noticed that the airbox top seemed to be sold as one piece on the websites of the Big 3, but my airbox top is in fine shape except for that one snap-on piece. I would much prefer to just get that one snap-on elbow cover instead of ordering a whole new airbox top.

From the sounds of things, it looks like I'll have to get one used off of someone. Anyone have a spare they'd like to offer me? Scott M., Rixter?
