Default 911 rims on 928, what to do?

Acquired an 83 928 in a trade, got a good deal. Anyway, I thought that the front tires looked a little skinny so I did some checking and sure /nuff, they are Design 90 rims from a 911. So the front rims are 6" wide i think while the rear are 8". Good news is I also got the original "disc" rims that came on the 83, but the tires on those are shot.

My question is will it hurt to leave the 911 rims on there while I do some reapirs on the car? No serious driving would be done on those rims, just around the block and down the road for test drives after doing repairs.

I'm concerned that because of the weight of the front end I might warp or break some critical suspension or steering component by running 6" wheels instead of the 7" that came on it.

It will not hurt anything just be aware that the car will not handle turn as well as it could.
