New (to me) Fuel Pump Config on My 78
Went to change the fuel filter on my 78 5 speed today (I know, 5 years is too long) and discovered that it has two external pumps. Under the tank access panel is a small (less than 2" diameter) pump and at the rear left side wheel well is the regular external pump. Double checked the tank to make sure there wasn't an internal pump. The fuel filter is mounted to the bottom of the accumulator at the front of the left wheel well. So now we have the following possible configurations on the OB's:
1. Single external pump under the tank.
2. In tank and external under tank pumps.
3. Two external pumps (under tank and wheel well).
Anyone have any other configurations?
BTW my 78 5 speed was a CA car. My 78 euro (single external pump) was made for the German market.

John,
It appears stock as it has an anodized fabricated bracket for the undertank pump. The pump below the accumulator also looks stock with the mounting. IIRC John McDermotts 82 had both the external pump and filter under the tank. Are yours in the wheel well also?

Dennis,
My 78 (#770) has two external pumps as you describe. One under the tank, one in rear of rear pass well. Filter is in front of well coupled to accumulator.
