Smile I am Officially Insane - Just bought Project 928 off EBAY

Yep, just bought me a book. Been looking at this book for almost 2 years now. Haven't seen many written in English and when I do I have always lost the auction.

Nope, not this time. I'm the winner this time. Yes indeed. I won. Oh boy, how do I explain this one. . . . . . .

Way to go Beth. That's a very good book. I bought a new (in the wrapper) German version and then also bought a custom-made slip cover for it that was made by a fellow Rennlister. Very classy looking and top quality. Good snag there!

Congratulations! Soon you will know all the little stories about the development of the car. Iti's a great book - I read it in German during my high school years, but only own an English version.

Good buy. If you find out anything about the crushability of the gas tank please let George know. I saw the quote somewhere and can't remember and told him about it at your house when we were talking about fuel cells and racing. He would like the info. if you can find the answer to help him lobby the ORR sanctioning bodies.

Regards,

Beth,

congratulation on your purchase. These books go up in value much more than the car does
And if you ever want to protect your investment and give the book the house it deserves, drop me a PM. I have something that fits the bill.

Paul

Beth:

Hope it didn't hurt too bad... There was a copy offered on the 928OC digest just yesterday. I was ready to bite until I saw the asking price - $300. I'd like to have a copy, but I don't want one that bad.

Last week, a Project 928 book sold on ebay for a whooping US$ 488. Where is this going to go? Are these books better investments than California real estate?
