Nope, I know exactly where it is, I am hoping it burns up before my time is up to take it in ... so I can get a nice shiny new one :-)

I just got my letter yesterday, so I have a week or so left. Trust me, it is kept parked away from any thing of importance..... wait, I think I smell smoke .. YIPPEEEEEE !!

two old guys sitting on the beach in Florida after talking a bit. One says he was in the clothing business in New York for 40 years. Second said so was I but in Kansas. First guy said yea after 40 years I had a fire and just decided it was time to retire. Second guy says no kidding, I lost my factory in a tornado and took the money and retired Too ! First guy paused a moment with a perplexed look on his face then asked ...."How do you start a tornado??"

Eric - DR is right - probably something VERY minor! Those Devek rads are know to leak at times. Check the inlets/outlets on the rad to be sure they aren't loose.
IIRC - They recently changed the procedure to "tighten" from "don't tighten" on them. I'd check w/Marc & co. on it!

Default DRIVE YOUR CAR MORE OFTEN....!

Eric,

The real problem is not the car.. It is that you do not drive the darned car enough to really enjoy it. No wonder it keeps getting sick.. NO EXERCISE = SICK SHARK.. I have spent who knows how much on my shark fiddling, performance, and maintaining my car.. You know what... I feel bad when I DON'T get to drive it... I drive it everyday, as long as it runs... It's got 238,000+ miles on it, and I just replaced the Trans and Torque Tube yesterday... I have a list a mile long of things I need to get to, but DRIVING it and ENJOYING it comes FIRST.. If you want a garage queen, then get one, stuff it into your living room, and drive something else.. BUT DO NOT COMPLAIN the car is treating you badly...

The poor car is telling you that you are being a bad person for not driving it... When I think of all the seals crudding up, the oil draining off the parts and getting sludgy in the sump, it just makes me cringe...

These cars were meant to be driven.... If you can't put it in your living room as a museum piece to stare at, and you have one but do not drive it, then sell it to someone who will do just that.... DRIVE THE CAR...!

No sympathy here, sorry...! Bad shark parent..!

Again, DRIVE IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, EVERYDAY, RAIN, SUN, SNOW...! Blizzards aside, you have NO EXCUSE...!!

It is only a machine made by a man who is it's superior. It owes you nothing and it doesn't care how you feel. It is a hunk of metal that just sits there. Lose the emotional attachment. Find the problem and fix it. Then go on.

I hear ya!

Drive every day – but seriously driving in the snow with these puppies – well that is not a good thing you really don’t get down the road with that much back end torque. Just to give you an example – go out to a parking lot soaked with oil and then try to keep the back-end from constantly breaking away. But I hear ya I do garage queen it – but the problem the garage is half the time the dealership garage. When she is good she is so good – but when she is bad she is bad. I hate whiners like the rest of you all – but are any of you guys married with kids – well I am, three kids – you know you come home you had to deal with crap all day long and the food is cold and your kids are screaming and you say to yourself – OK why did I sign up for this again? That is my car – on the sunny days life is grand – on the rainy days you just want to sit down by the furnace and drink alone. I know – suck it up and be a man just like your Daddy did!

Cheers guys!

I always view my 928 using the analogy of a woman...

If you just want a trusty gal who will cook, clean, do the laundry, and grudgingly make love once every couple weeks, get yourself the "Honda" of womanhood.

If you want a woman who will bring passion and fireworks into the relationship, well... she's probably gonna require a little more maintenance.

Depends upon how much you like fireworks.

In fact, I've got a nice trusty Audi for my daily automotive "cooking and cleaning."

The shark is my mistress. Most mistresses don't come cheap.

Hell I hear ya – I love fireworks and that is what the shark is to me makes me feel good – hell makes me look good – but like your analogy if every time you went to saddle up she would only trott if she moved at all you ask yourself – what good are you if I can’t ride you. Don’t mean to be rude but that’s the truth – a firecracker without a wick is just another stick!

Also there has to be some kind of woman out there that can order a pizza, figure out how to hire a maid and still can light it up – hmmmm – maybe I need a road trip! And as for your Audi – I had an S4 as well as the shark and I let her go – ohh how I miss her but for sure two mistresses is more than I have an appetite for.

Cheers

There are exceptions to that rule.... although it did take me 3 tries to find one :-)

Hey maybe you are onto something – time to upgrade! There we go – a solution found within the wisdom of those that have gone down the road – I knew it!

Cheers

Eric,

Good choice, suck it up, and trace down the leak..

You have 3 kids..? No, you have 3 kids and 1 mistress... or 4 kids..!

I have 2 kids, my dog and my shark...! Granted, I live in CA, and my Mercedes has been parked for a long time... I lived on lake Ontario for about 1.5-2 years in college... I know about lake effect snow, and white outs....

Just trace down the leak, and every day the weather is reasonable, drive the car... You will be rewarded...! trust me....!

No wife, but no comment on mistresses or lady friends...
