I admit I've been considering it... I'm just nervous. I'll read up on the procedure more, then make a decision. It would feel good to do it myself, that's for sure. Truly, thanks for the offer.

Don't let the project scare you. If your engine bay is not in need of serious cleaning, the job can easily be done in one day, especially if you have helping hands. When my belt failed, I had the front of the engine torn down in about 2 hours. Each of the "Big Three" suppliers can hook you up with a ready-made kit of all necessary parts, totaling somewhere around $400 including a rebuilt water pump. Once you've got a belt job done, you'll be surprised how much more comfortable you are about taking on other projects. You'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

I've obviously now learned a great deal about the belt and its system.

We can do it much faster with air tools... which I have.

I'd be willing to host a session this spring, and it wouldn't be too far for you Chaadster. Heck, I'd even supply the beer and pizza.
