If your car had been a shade of red and an '86, I'd have sworn that feckless burnout was Shane of Alaska. Since he installed a twin scren SC, I've just mostly seen the rear end of his car veiled in a faint cloud of smoke as he tries hard to a non-smoker on his burnouts. The supercharged 928s are FAASSSST! I believe Shane when he says that, with my 5-speed, I'd have trouble maintaining traction.

Thaks for the nice comments everyone.
Jim,
It was actually the Janurary POC meet where I borrowed your rears due to a bent wheel. I thank you for that again and for your guidance at the track. The summer POC was all my $$$ up in smoke . The dragradials dont smoke though so not really burning your $$$ there, just wearing them out. Heck not even that though since they are in storage in CA.
Conratulations on your POC wins this year. I don't even have to ask if you won. Have you ever not won?
I keep thinking I am going to get in the car 2 days before an event, show up, do the event and drive home just for sport.

Mike,
PJ sends a big thanks for driving his car home from San Diego.

Brian,
Witht the same boost you are running and same 2.2 transaxle I did the 4.29 sec 0-60. I had drag radials though. Even with the drag radials it took some practice. and....YOU ARE VERY WELCOMED! Nice comments like yours make it all worthwhile. Be sure to call me if you need anything.

Hugett,
I am very familiar with the twin-screw that Shane has on his car. It actually came off my car.

I also agree that fast 0-60 times (even more so than 1/4) are all about a good launch. Some normally aspirated automatic cars are down into the mid 4's (steves) with about 330?whp, but with big tires and a special torque converter. Blown cars have much more power, but again you have to put it down. Just look at the variance of the same models in different car magazines...usually a few tenths either way, sometimes even for the same exact car! All I know is it sure is fun trying to get a good time!!!!!!!!!!! & G-techs are only about $40 nowdays!

Brian some of the magazine articles use made up numbers it is cheaper and easier than renting a track....... you may note that writers often go to great lengths to try to say positive things about the cars they are reviewing they do after all need advertising dollars and for the auto companies to give them future test cars.
