the best and most infuriating advice is to try one for size, frustrating cause its difficult to find a speed shop with one in it! but i really do recomend you find a seat and sit in it first to make your mind up. height wise i dont see a problem, i also know that sparco make some comfortable lite weight seats.

That ("Nite shark") is an awesome picture! It's my new Windows background.

As an owner of a Recaro SPG for daily use, I HIGHLY recommend that if you want a seat like this, you sit in it first to get the feel and fit for your girth...

If you decide to purchase the seat, I also highly recommend that you purchase some extra foam. You can then cut the foam, and fill the spots in the seat to truly make it fit YOUR body. Once you do this, you will be amazed at the comfort..

Granted, I only drive 2+ hours per day in my car, but on longer trips of 4-8 hours, it is also not a problem... In any case, if you use the fixed seats as daily drivers, the fabric and foam will wear very quickly unless they are in leather..

I need to recover my SPG. I have had it in the car permanently for more than 1.5 years, and it is a bit worn, but still very comfortable for me... It was padded that way... I am sure if someone else sat in my seat, they would gripe.. In addition, I have the "narrow" SPG as I am thin (32inch Waist)

matt, thats cool!

richard, im just growing out of a 32" waist and i found the SPG a very tight fit. over here in the uk i will get in and out of my car with a heavy jacket or several layers of clothes. the pole position is very good. i have mine covered in leather too.

just an update to say that the michelin pilot sport 2 is a good tyre, i would rank it above the brigestone S03 or S02 although it dosent like standing water as much! also, no rubbing issues with the front combo of 235/40/18 tyres and 8" 50mm offset wheels.
