Hmmm
If Abby's engine and his youngest were both outside and it started to rain:
which of the two would get the wettest?
Still wish I had not lost the head work to a virus...sniff...great shots!

:)

I really do not want to be an :atwhore: .. I did put it in my avatar though, so guilty as charged :)

It's an 85 block that I bought new from 928 INTL.. From what I understand, it was an engine used for Porsche Tech training, so it was never fired. The heads are from my first 928, an '85. They have been completely reworked with new valves, springs, guides etc. and are also port matched and polished. Standard 85-86 Cams. The head gaskets are from the 951.

The bottom end has modified 951 pistons with custom forged rods done by Pauter, resulting in 8:1 Comp. Ratio. The crank has the cross drilling mod, and it also has the GTS oil pan baffle.

The injectors are 30lb Bosch, flow balanced by Marren Racing. http://injector.com/injectorservice.php

A new fuel injection wiring harness, as well as lower engine wiring harness since my old ones were toast.

Everything else is visual. The fuel lines are anodized in gold, and pretty much all new anodized bolts anywhere on the motor have been done also.

I need to still get an intercooler, and will likely convert the whole SC set up to a MURF kit also.

My goal is to get in the car later this year in the fall. I'm still doing a few things to my 86.5 to sort it out proper. Plus I'm having a blast driving it :burnout:

I really do not have a lot of pics since the motor is stored in a crate and not on a stand... maybe I should get a stand and put it in my living room :)

I owe all the thanks in the world to Marcus Hutchinson. Had it not been for him, I would not have this motor. It's his design, and he was the first to perfect it to my knowledge.

Also a lot of thanks goes to Mark Anderson and 928 Intl for helping in the process and being a great resource.

Easy answer for that one... daddy's little girl has him wrapped around her finger.

John I had a total HD crash last year, and am just now getting some things I had stored on it back..like those pictures. A guy put everything on disc for me and I need to go through it. When I do, I'll get you those pics.

Abby,

Very nice man. I can see you are a true affectionado................That motor is a work of art. BTW, you are gonna love the Murph kit......It is another "work of art"......Unlike Murph, who is a "piece of work"......

Just kiddin' Murph...... :biggulp:

Very nice, but where's the red lettering on the intake?

Had to be re-done...it's red now.

Abby,
Holding my breath...
Should be one heck of a ride when completed.
Did I see the recipient sHARk 'THE Body' up for sale a while back?
If so, what fo' ?
From the flicks you had posted she was a unique and IMO great looking end product.
Wishing you much luck with the bambini, my little sweet heart hit the terrible two's and things went all downhill from there. As much as I love her there is growing evidence that she has the Wicked Witch of the West gene.
She is now eyeballing cars (15 1/2) and thinks -it's true- that sHARKs are ...gulp...UGLY!
Where will it all end? :( :biggulp: :biggulp: :biggulp:

John, I sold the widebody chassis last year to a guy in Austin that is a Porsche tech. It just became a to big of project trying to finish both the engine and chassis, so I had to make a sacrafice and swallow some pride. I should have never started such a big adventure while trying to complete the engine. In hind-sight, I wish I would have never went the Widebody conversion route while doing the engine. I should have stayed focused on getting the SC set up finished first...live and learn. :(

Abby glad to see this project is on track and being completed!
