It was just discussed in OT a few days ago. A thread about unusual VW Golf/Rabbit conversions.

The manufacturer was Autohaus Nordstadt - a car dealership run by Günther Artz. He had already done a VW Beettle with a Carrera engine, and later brought us the 928 wagon.

If you do a search here and OT for Nordstadt or Artz, you will probably find quite a few past discussions on this topic.

Default Gunter Artz VW Golf body wearing a 928:Info Request

On behalf of Petrolicious.com, I am looking to find out if anybody here knows of the current whereabouts or contact information of any of the 10 or so custom Gunter Artz VW Golf 1 (Rabbit in USA) which were built around Porsche 928's by Nordstadt in the late 70's? We are looking to do a story about them and would like to talk to an owner about featuring them. An interesting car! Thanks in advance.

There was youtube video posted of one on a thread a few years ago - could hear it start and drive. Even if you don't find an owner, it would add to the story.
