Default Broke the 5sec barrier(4.9sec)

Finally got a run below 5sec this afternnon.
Biggest change was the fact that i used my kickdown swicth to hold 1st gear longer. Traction was much better in the warmer sun of the afternoon rather than the cool evenings at 9-10pm when i had been "playing". Im still looking for traction off the line though...takes a delicate touch actually.!

4.5sec or less next

But the graph shows you started at 4mph (time 0). Isn't that cheating?

nope, not when im comparing apples to apples ...etc to etc
all the other GTECH runs do the same thing when specified..

actaully its 3.55mph when i zoom in on the data file

Not sure about the basic 39.95 ones though?
Anyone have an answer for that BTW?

I can deseclect it if i want, but all the other posts on here using the PASS software use the same principle as far as i can see.

The RR with PASS software.
This is the RPM vs TIME. you can see the slight fluctuations in the line(wheel spin).

This compares the run above via overlaying the data to a run i did 3days ago when i first got to play with teh GTECH. It really is nice to able to take the data back and see where you lost time or where you can make some....here it was wheel spin and the 1-2 shift.

Major wheel spin then followed by the Autos 1-2 shift are shown by the RED line

Tony - I forgot to ask - Where did you mount the GTECH? Do you have a pic?

Thanks.

basically a couple of inches above the dash on the windshiled between the edge of the pod and the center of the windshield

this is a zoom in of the data...the redline is another run which i skip of the revlimiter twice(as you can see)

Im not sure why the rpms hit that level? im not sure of the accuracy of the stock tach or the revlimit system either? Anyone? The gtechs rpms are picked up from some source of feed back. The only thing plugged in is the 12V power source. During the calibration phase during inital set up you are told to rev the car to certain RPMS and hold it there...2000 and 4000 and the GTECH learns the signal and calibrates the rest...i believe thats how it works.

nope. I had my PKS on (parallel kickdown switch) the 1-2 shift was done manually.

To my suprise though, im leaving 2 nice parallel strips of black rubber on the pavement when i get on it too hard.. To my knowledge my car doesnt have limited slip. I thought only 1 wheel was driven with out LSD? or am i wrong in how that works?

Do both wheels take the power as long as its straight and power is being put to the pavement equally? Makes for a lot of smoke

Default did it again...

It stopped raining and the roads dried out a litle bit and i went out to try my fuel pressure logging.
These are 2 back to back runs as you can see by the time stamp in opposite directions shown on the GTECH. The logworks data below it is for the faster of the two runs.
Basically on my little "test section" of road with Kuhmo Ecsta Street tires

Starting to get my launch down a bit better. I still have to feather the throttle a bit to hook up. Considering the roads are cold and a bit damp tonight i was suprised i got the traction i did!
I have a few tenths to ring out in that 60ft yet.
Fun stuff!
