Coolest Steering Wheel

As time goes on and my car starts looking better, I'm now finding out that I hate the look of my Stock Blue Leather Steering Wheel.

Any suggestions?

Saw this I like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

Thanks,

Ron

I really like the 930 3 spoke wheel as an upgrade. I think that wood wheel would look out of place.

My S4 came with a nice Nardi wood wheel like that and wood shifter. They've been sitting in my parts room (aka study) for 2 years. I loved them, but ultimately wanted to return the car to full-leather so I replaced with stock leather wheel and GTS knob.

MOMO Cobra, or the 930S wheel.

I have the Cobra on my car......

Momo Millenium, which probably looks best with a black interior:

I think the 930 wheel is best for performance driving. Leather, nice badge, thick grips. This is what I want for Christmas. The wood steering wheel belongs in older cars (356s), I think, not on 928s. The previous owner of my 944 Turbo had a wood Momo wheel. While it steers well as it has a smaller diameter than stock, I'm planning on wrapping it in black leather once I find the time. Just my $0.02 worth of opinion.

Some people will go to great length to get wood in their 928...........I do however like the fact that the passenger foot board......is a wooden board ! It is kind of nostalgic to think Porsche had to have a carpenter.......building cars in the late 1970s

So far, Big dave's Momo Millenium looks very cool. It would be nice in Dark Blue in my car.

Here's one for $315.oo at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting Seems kind of high?

Jim, I've always enjoyed the way the wood fuse box drops and needs an extra hand to hold up when I'm pulling a fuse. They must've had a Lager Drinking Carpenter on call. I must be missing a velcro type hold strap. That is coming soon. I like wood. My grandpa was a logger.

Thanks,

Ron

The first steering wheel is perfect, you have to use the Volvo horn button for the full effect.

I've had often wondered if the wooden footboard was original equipment...

Redidrum..........." I like wood. My grandpa was a logger" is that not like saying , I like deer my grandpa was a hunter ? :) I too like the look of fine hardwood I just think it is out of place in a 928 far better as the stock of a nice long gun. And no I am not a "tree hugger" which should be no surprise to anyone.

Try this thread :930 Wheel I have the same wheel and shifter combo as Ferris does. Worth the extra money in my opinion.

I hug trees all the time.....

.....right before I cut them down and turn them into firewood. :)

I remain confident  that some forward thinking design engineer in the late seventies allowed the wood trap door as a safety feature - this would prevent your passenger, with his size twelves, from stomping a conductive (metal) cover into that "miniscule" fuse/relay block directly behind. This would also give greater peace of mind to the driver as he is showing off - or about to slide into something solid, thereby assisting his passenger to do an electrical panel stomp. ;)

Thanks Everyone,

I like the Gretch Ajusa, Big Dave Momo and the 930 OEM Wheel. I'll sit on it until after the Holidays. I'm 928 Intl Poor now since buying the new Twist wheels. Okay. No wood in the Cockpit!

Ron
