Don't get me wrong - it is a GREAT looking car...I just think the seller is being very misleading.

Did anyone check out the links to the add'l pics....this one was kind of interesting...

If it was all complete, and had the supercharger, I'd say it was a pretty cool car for someone.
But once you remove the SC, then it becomes just a OB with a swapped engine, and
salvaged title, bodywork, and unknown additional work to be done. I suppose it could
be looked at as a good start for a SC project, or a track car. But for most people
shopping, it will just be looked at as a car with problems and a questionable history.

But it does look nice, and those wheels look good.

Some more things that i remember about this car from Porschedillo 2003:
--It was the first car that I took a picture of (out of about 30 to choose from )
--The leather did look good and he said he had soaked some of the smaller pieces in leather conditioner for 24 hours........I started conditioning my leather A LOT more after seeing his.
--The gauge pods that he added were really nice. My wife and I both thought they looked very "natural" as opposed to stuck on.
--The intake was painted with some kind of heat resistant textured paint. He told us what kind it was, but I can't remember. It still looks good in his ebay pictures.
--When we saw it, he had only 10 miles on the engine after the rebuild and he explained all of the things that he had done to it at the time (9-27-03).
--If there were paint imperfections at the time, I never saw them. They must have been very small. The paint job looked super.
--I thought his 1991 911 turbo was stellar.....one of the nicest cars there; although there was that one that had 702 hp...it was super stellar.

I really love the wheels on that car. I had been debating on what wheels to get. I really don't like the look of the phone dials. After seeing those, they seem to compliment the car well. So now I'm on the lookout for some. Does anyone know if those would require any spacers or not?

Exclamation

Buyer beware! Shows one thing says another. IF one isn't careful enough to read the whole ad one might believe they are getting a supercharger. I wonder what else is being removed prior to delivery (steering wheel, exhaust supercharger &....). What about the fact it was involved in several accidents one which totaled the car. Structurely I wonder if it was repaired properly.

Does anyone know what kind of exhaust tips (or mufflers?) those are in the auction pics? I like them.

I continue to ba amazed...this REBUILT (salvage title) car - with MANY parts likely to be missing....

OVER $10k - and still a day to go....maybe the market is looking up....

My ESP tells me a soon-to-be new shark owner is gonna be asking a LOT of questions about "non-stock" mods made....

JKelly-
The black turbo was the one with 702hp, or at least an identical one. Mark brought it on the tour together with the Third Coast 928.... I was directly behind him, and the first time he nailed it for a pass 1) I thought my water pump/timing belt/other noisy stuff had broken from the incredible noise and 2) he accelerated away as if he were launched from an aircraft carrier catapult.
Pretty awesome.
