Thumbs up New baby finds good home

A friend of mine (former 944 owner) got lucky when we found him an '85 euro 5-speed with 27K original miles, all original paint, no dash cracks, almost perfect interior, original am/fm casette, A/C works. Everything is original except tires, small belts, and fluids. This guy never did a TB....... I almost $hit when we found out as papers were being exchanged. This car was owned by this guy since '85 and always garaged and not out in bad weather.
Anyways, TB/WP and tensioner, and he will be a happy guy. He doesn't even know the significance of the '85 euro, or how rare a 928 in that condition is, but he's into it anyways. $13,500 -I think it was fair money, and it sure is a keeper.
The car wasn't being advertized anywhere; but if my friend didn't want it, I would have posted pics/info here.

(I can say this - since I have one of my own!!!)

WHY OH WHY OH WHY...did the importers/federalizers put such CHEAPAZZ corner lights on these things. ACTUALLY - the ones in the pics above are about HALF the size of the Peterbuilt Parts put on mine!

They all stick out enough to cut probably 10mph off of the top end because of the wind resistance!!

Okay...rant is over...i feel better now...

Beautiful car! 19 year old timing belt? I guess I can relax a little - I'm at about 4yr/50K and starting to get a little nervous.

Sweeet!! The paint looks practically new and so does the car.

I still can't believe that the owner could keep and protect such a beautiful car for 19 years and still be too cheap and ignorant to do a TB/WP. At least it's in good hands now, Bill the new owner is OK with spending the money to do things right.
Greg Goodspeed would vote for appropriate "owner punishment"...Me too.

Yes, excellent find! Makes you wonder how many more are tucked away in garages, waiting to be found...

It is likely that he wasn't aware of elapsed time for a TB job; what does the book say, 40,000 miles? He was way under that.

At least it's in good hands now,
According to your description, apparently it was in good hands before, too.

Nice find!
