Hey Man, Are those jumper cables in the back seat? I hope you know how to jump that car. If you jump off the battery you could fry your brain. Also, The car will probably require a lot of money to get it into a real good condition. Sets goals for yourself early and with how much your willing to spend on it. They are sweet cars without a doubt but sooner or later sense will kick in and take over.
This is the right place to be to embark on such a project.

Factor,
Just saw that you lived in Garland. I posted the question in your other thread. Noticed the green monster trash cans in the alley and knew you where somewhere in Texas. We're having a tech session at Roger Tyson's place up in Double Oak on Sunday. Ron (stylin 928) has one in Plano today in Plano. He's a few streets over from me. PM me and I'll give you our local info.

indefactorX,
welcome to the board and no matter that the car needs work, we always like seeing 928 pictures. And I personally enjoy stories of ppl tacking the project cars. It validates and builds on the value and appeal of the 928 -- people tear apart and spend thousands and thousands $$$ on complete 911T Targa 2.0 restorations (IMO a much less appealing interesting car), so why in the heck not the 928?
You've got some serious bodywork to face (well, to me that's serious. Maybe to someone that restores Japanese, Italian, or British cars, that could very well be a walk in the park :-)
BTW, I may have bits and pieces of early black interior parts around as I swap things in & out to get the best combination, so PM me if you are looking for anythign in particular.
Happy restoring.
P.S. - stupidity has its limits too, it's usually called death or injury.

I just purchased (my first Porsche) a '91 928S4 and the second day I went out to start it and the battery was dead. Apparently, I had bumped the light bar for the parking lights. Anyway, I noticed in a post above that there is a certain method to boosting them? I haven't read my manual through yet. We had to jump it to give it the power to crank up. The 'brain',etc, seems fine. Been running well since then.
