I give up: what's my fan-airpump belt size?
I am dying to get my shark back on the road and gently break in my new t-belt, but re-assembly gremlins keep getting me down.
Seems that no local yokel parts stores can agree on, or get right, any belt sizes for this car. I thought I had this solved by bringing my old toasted belts in and getting them matched, so I tossed the old ones (DOH!!) and spent two weeks cleaning every one of the 5000 things that come off for a t-belt job before re-assembly...
And now the 12.5 x 1040 belt I wound up with for the fan & airpump is waaaayyyyyy to long. I would have to get a much longer adjuster bolt and move the fender outboard - and that's simply not going to happen.
Early 86 US-spec automatic, fan & airpump belt. Anybody? Thanks in advance!
