Default 928 specialists receiver/drier?

What kind of tweaking has to be done to use the aftermarket receiver/drier that 928gt.com sells at a substantial $ savings off the stock part?

Didn't get my replacement from 928gt, but the much lower priced generic replacement I installed was *very* slightly thinner (less diameter) then the original. All I did was put a small rubber strip around the area where the clamp holds it down......otherwise it will be slightly loose even with the clamp tightened all the way. I had no problem with that as the aftermarket version was 1/4 the price of the "official" one. Working flawlessly.

Mike,

Do you have a part number for the generic replacement you bought? Do you know what kind of car it was made for?

The actual part number listed was 944.573.943.00, $29.95 at Zims....good mail order place. www.allzim.com

It was an exact match in every way except for the diameter......and we are talking about 1 or 2 mm here. Once installed you can't tell it from stock.
