Default 87+up 928 napa power steering hose

87 928 S4. My P/S hose started to leak. Machine shops don't rebuild the hoses any more (don't know why). Replacements are around $200. Found this NAPA 7-2565 power steering hose at napa.com for about $50. Looks little different but don't be afraid, it fits.

Any hi-pressure hose can be rebuilt by a shop that specializes in hydraulic hoses - typically they cater to the construction (earth moving) and trucking trades.

A good performance test! Regards, "Found this NAPA 7-2565 power steering hose at napa.com for about $50" was this for the pressurized supply line (most likely), or the return?
There was a note in 928oc.org/tips re a similar repair on an '83 using NAPA # 7-2564. This part for the supply has the line restrictor and was quoted @ $50.
With the part #'s so close, I wonder what the differences are?

That was high pressure line. Difference is in the shape of metal ends

Well, if your 85 hose looks like your 88 hose...

Welcome aboard, Dave.

My 88 is currently 70mi away in the able hands of my my girl so I can't check it out now. 928 Intl shows the same part for both years so I'll give it a try. For $50 you can't go wrong. Worst case, I'll have a spare for the 88
